M&K Industrials has been instrumental in arranging the supply of sawn lumber from Northern European and South American sawmilling groups to the Japanese housing industry since 1995.
The Japanese building industry has extremely high quality standards. Each wooden product has its own specific requirements regarding lumber quality, size and moisture content tolerances. Cutting patterns also differ depending on the end usage of the product. It is essential that the supplier is made fully aware of the expectations of the Japanese customer.
M&K can provide detailed product knowledge and assist with the selection of business partners. We also provide support on contract drafting, claims handling and – when required, on-site inspections either prior to shipment or after arrival at the customer’s premises in Japan.
