WOOD FIBRE TRADING

The world demand for wood fibre will increase dramatically during the next ten to fifteen years. International requirements to reduce the usage of fossil fuels and substitute them with renewable environmentally acceptable alternatives have created a pressing need to secure the supply of sustainable biofuels. Wood fibre in the form of wood chips, wood pellets, torrefied wood products etc., is a natural and renewable alternative to fossil fuels. European wood resources are already in great demand. Alternative external supply is required if Europe is to meet the new environmental policy goals and for the pulp and paper industry to maintain a controlled raw material supply program.
